Special learning experience will begin with "The Quilters of Gee's Bend," acclaimed quilts produced by a black community in Alabama during the twentieth century that have designs reminiscent of the artistic genius of Matisse.

For those who wish to be or are already a quilter, the introduction will be followed by a course taught by Christine on how to make a Gee's Bend reproduction or a Gee's Bend inspired quilt.
